Do you know how to shave without shaving cream? This is something that most people don’t know and it is very important that you do. The reason why you need to know how to shave without shaving cream is because there will come a time in your life when you just don’t have any with you. Whether you are at home and you run out or camping out in the wilderness, you will need to know how to shave without shaving cream.

Before I show you the right way to shave without any shaving cream, I first want to make sure that you know how important a sharp shaver is. Without a sharp shaver you will find it very difficult shave because all you will be doing is pulling the hair as opposed to cutting it as close to the skin as possible. Don’t think that a good shaving cream is a remedy for a dull shaver because it really isn’t.

How To Shave Without Shaving Cream

There are three things that you will need in order to give yourself a decent shave without any shaving cream. The things that you will need are; hot water, soap and a warm towel or cloth. The reason you need all of these things is because you will want to soak the towel in hot water and then place it on your face or wherever you plan on shaving.

After you have placed the hot towel on your face you will need to apply the soap. Although, you don’t have shaving cream, soap will make your skin slick enough to prevent irritation. My only recommendation is that you avoid shaving places that don’t have any soap. If the soap already came off, then it is time to reapply it or else you will risk getting skin irritation.

When you shave it is imperative that you use the hot water to rinse the shaver. The reason you need to do this is to help clean the razor while keeping the blades hot enough to quickly and easily cut your hair. It doesn’t matter if you have a lot of hair or a little bit, you still should utilize the effectiveness of hot blades. Most people don’t realize how much better hot blades cut compared to cold ones but once you try this you will never shave without hot water again.

Shaving is not always easy but as long as you know what to do, then it should be no problem. Just remember what you learned here today because you never know when somebody will ask you if you know how to shave without shaving cream.

Hot Shaving Tips

How often do you hear tips on how to shave? For me, I hear tips about shaving roughly twice a week and a lot of the time the tips are not even good. The reason I say this is because the people I get shaving tips from are either older and like old fashion methods or they just don’t look like they shave that often. Whatever the reason is for people to think they can give you shaving tips is beyond me, but I do have some great tips that I have put together from all around the internet.

One of the things that I want to get to right now is some hot shaving tips that most people don’t know. The reason I am going to give you hot shaving tips is because in my opinion, using hot or warm shaving cream is the best way to go. Trust me on this one, if you are not using warm shaving cream, then you are not getting the best shave possible.

Hot Shaving Tips

Use A Machine – One of the first tips that I have for you is to not put your shaving cream under hot water to try and warm it up that way. The reason I don’t recommend doing this is because it takes too long and it can ruin your shaving cream. What I do recommend is that you get a shaving cream warmer. The best part about a good shaving cream warmer is that it warms all the shaving cream at one time as opposed to just one portion of it and it works really fast.

Use Warm Water – Not only should you use warm shaving cream, you need to use warm water as well. The reason you need to use warm water is because you want to keep your razor blades warm. Having a warm face and cold razor blades only makes things worse. Just do yourself a favor and make sure your face, the shaving cream and the razor are all warm.

Sharp Blades Are A Must – Just like warm water and warm shaving cream, sharp razor blades are a must as well. The reason why you need sharp razor blades is because they help prevent ingrown hairs and they help you get all the hair off your skin. If you think that a sharp razor blade is not that important, then think again because they are. My advice would be to use a new razor blade every 3-4 weeks so that you are never using something that is dull.

Shave With The Grain – This is something that I should not mention, but I will anyway, you need to shave with the grain. The reason you need to do this is so that you don’t give yourself an ingrown hair and so that you still get a close shave.

Now I don’t know about you but doing a hot shave sounds a lot better to me than a cold shave does. Whether you are shaving your legs, face, underarms or anything else doesn’t matter, what matter is that you get the best shave possible and that is what I am trying to help you with right now.

If you don’t have a lot of time to get ready in the morning, then you will want this so that you are not late all the time. Think about it, if you have to be to work at a certain time, then you will need to make sure that your shaven and ready to go.

One other thing that you need to understand is that a warm shaving cream dispenser will benefit you because you won’t ruin the shaving cream as quickly. The reason I say this is because heating shaving cream under a faucet will cause some of the shaving cream to go bad before the rest of it does. Now I know what you are thinking, “Shaving cream doesn’t go bad”. Honestly, regular shaving cream doesn’t go bad but most people use shaving cream with scents, lotions and other things like that and this is what makes it go bad. If you don’t shave all the time you will need to do whatever you can to prolong the life of your shaving cream. Just know that a shaving cream warmer will help you with a lot of things and not just keeping your skin nice and soft.
